Meet our St. Croix Deputy Superintendent
Victor Somme, III

Victor Somme, III has 28 years of public service to the people of the Virgin Islands, of which 21 years has been in leadership in education, administration, and natural resources management. He has been promoted through the teaching ranks and now serves as the Deputy Superintendent for the St. Croix School District, Virgin Islands Department of Education. In addition to his teaching and leadership experiences in education, he spent eight (8) years at the helm of the Virgin Islands Energy Office and the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Program, both within the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
Prior to his current assignment as deputy superintendent, Mr. Somme served as the director of the St. Croix Alternative Education Program for 13 years. It was in this assignment that he adopted the philosophy of Kofi Anan, former UN General Secretary.
